Parallel Universe  

Liminal beings, not quite plant, not quite animal, the underwater creatures that make up coral reefs form a parallel and deeply interrelated ecology. This series studies their uncanny forms, shapes, and textures, as well as the negative space left by their sudden absence. Even as coral is disappearing due to wide-scale bleaching events caused by global climate change, these works probe both the queerness and precarity of these peculiar beings.
